5 on Five: Note option now available!
When you want to join in, but don't want to write a post
5 on Five started six months ago as an idea to share favorite books, find other Book-ish Substack accounts, and have fun as a community while hopefully increasing engagement and subscriptions for us all. It started with three of us: myself, Audry Fryer, and Laura K. Bray. Over this first six months, thirty individual accounts have participated. We asked ourselves, how could get even more people to join in?
We thought having to create a post might deter some people. Maybe you prefer to keep to a set posting schedule or don’t want to take away from the specific focus of your Substack account. To help 5 on Five continue to grow, beginning in June you can join 5 on Five by posting a note. By using the 5 on Five note option, you join in without having to create a Substack post. It’s a simple two-step process.
Write a note listing five books for the monthly theme.
Share a link to your note in the comments section of that month’s 5 on Five post.
You can find the hosting schedule with the optional monthly theme on the original 5 on Five post.

What a great idea!! I hope lots of people get on this train, and I'll do my best to join the next one too.
I’m so excited that it’s almost the 5th and we get to see new posts!
